About us

Swedwatch is an independent, non-profit organization reporting on Swedish business relations in developing countries. We cover different sectors and focus on social and environmental concerns.

International human rights law, envioronmental law and standards, international conventions and other voluntary standards as well as national legislation and Codes of conducts build the framework in our studies.

Swedwatch is a watchdog, whistle blower and lantern. We watch human rights breeches and blow the whistle, push companies to act according to international standards and be pro-active. We also share best practice and give seminars in order to constantly raise the bar in the CSR area.

The overall goal is reduced poverty and sustainble social and environmental development in the South. A sub-goal is to minimize businesses negative footprint and rather improve contribution to positive impact through our research connected to CSR, human rights and environment.
